Massage chairs
Our massage chair guides compare full-body chairs using what each brand publishes: its specs, prices, warranty and delivery terms. We don't claim to have sat in chairs we haven't tried, and the prices we quote link back to the seller's own page.
What we compare
- Roller track. An S-track follows the curve of the spine; an L-track continues under the seat to the glutes and hamstrings; an SL-track combines both. Brands usually publish the track length in inches.
- Zero-gravity recline. Most full-body chairs recline to raise the legs to about heart level. We note how many recline positions a model has and how much wall clearance it needs.
- Airbags, heat and foot rollers. The number of airbags, where heat is applied and whether the footrest has rollers vary widely from model to model.
- Fit. The recommended user height and weight range, and the chair's footprint upright and fully reclined.
- Warranty. Parts, labor and the frame are often covered for different lengths of time, and in-home service may only cover the first year or two.
- Delivery and returns. Curbside versus in-room delivery, the return window and any restocking fee, which matter on a product this heavy.
New guides are added here as they're researched. Each one lists the downsides as well as the strengths.
