Our cold plunge guides compare chilled tubs and ice baths using what each maker publishes: specs, prices, warranty and delivery terms. We don't claim to have used tubs we haven't tried, and the prices we quote link back to the seller's own page.
What we compare
- Chiller. The lowest water temperature the maker states, whether the tub has a chiller at all or relies on ice, and whether the chiller also heats.
- Filtration and sanitation. The filter type, any ozone or UV sanitation, and how often the maker says to change the water.
- Power. Whether it runs on a standard outlet or needs a dedicated circuit.
- Size and capacity. Inside dimensions, water volume and the tallest user it suits.
- Indoor or outdoor. Insulation, the lid, and what the maker says about freezing weather and direct sun.
- Warranty, delivery and returns. How long the tub and the chiller are covered, freight delivery, and the return window.
If you have a heart condition or high blood pressure, ask your doctor before cold-water immersion.
